PREMIER Jacinta Allan and Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas recently visited Lancefield Primary School to announce that the town’s new kinder, Lancefield Children’s Centre, is now open.
The new modular kinder has three rooms with capacity for 99 kindergarten places for three and four year olds, and a maternal and child health room.
Ms Allan said it would be a relief to young families in Lancefield to have a nearby kindergarten.
“We’re making sure every child has access to high-quality education, no matter where they live—this kinder will make a huge difference to the lives of local families in Lancefield,” she said.
“The new kinder is a response to strong demand for kindergartens in the local area, and ensures families have access to kindergartens for years to come, without the dreaded double drop-off.”
Ms Thomas was similarly thrilled to bring the project to the people of Lancefield.
“The children of Lancefield can now enjoy the very best kinder facilities,” she said.
“It’s all part of our commitment to expand access to early childhood education for all children.”
