LOCAL communities are set to benefit thanks to the combination of Kilmore Toyota and Love In Action in Wallan, with $665 donated to help individuals and families.
The funds were raised through a combination of staff-led events and container recycling over recent months, with the entire amount donated to support Love In Action’s Christmas initiatives. The organisation provides essential resources and gifts to families and children who may otherwise go without during the festive season.
Kilmore Toyota Dealer Principal Adam Dove said the donation reflects the dealership’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
“Christmas is a time for giving, and we are incredibly proud of our team and customers for coming together to support such an important local cause,” he said.
“Love In Action does incredible work in our region, ensuring families feel supported and children can still experience the joy of Christmas.”
Love In Action, based in Wallan, supports people facing hardship throughout the year by providing food, essential resources and ongoing support. During the Christmas period, the focus is on ensuring local families can experience the joy of the season together.
This year, particular attention was given to teenagers and older children, who can often miss out on gifts, as priority is naturally given to younger siblings. Thanks to community generosity, these young people were able to feel seen, valued and included this Christmas.
