A total of 37,598 voters were enrolled across the shire for the election. However, only 29,037 formal (correct) votes were cast, with 1216 votes declared incorrect and not counted towards the results. Almost one fifth (7345) of enrolled voters did not cast a vote.

The new term’s first council meeting will be held next Monday, November 18.
