Kilmore resident Orial Doherty was the lucky winner of a $5,000 Master Card just for shopping at Kilmore’s local Chemist Discount Centre store. Her winning receipt was for a purchase of band aids.
The Kilmore store is one of 49 in Australia who has had a winner during the promotion. The store was previously known as Simon Yu, and Ms Doherty said she likes to shop locally, and was pleasantly surprised to win the prize.
“I’m just so grateful to be the lucky winner over a pack of band aids, and I love everything about living in Kimore, there’s not one thing I don’t like. It’s peaceful, and quiet,” she said.
Ms Doherty has family to share the prize with.
“I have three grandchildren and I have two children and I’d like to share it with them in whatever way.”
