Ampol has announced the return of its Best All Rounder program for 2024, which celebrates contributions of final-year students to their schools and communities.
Now in its 39th year, the program invites secondary schools across Australia to register and nominate Year 12 students who embody qualities such as leadership, community service, sports, arts, and culture excellence, positive attitude, and exceptional conduct.
The winner of the Best All Rounder will receive a $5,000 cash grant and a $1,000 AmpolCash gift card, which can be spent at Ampol and EG Ampol service stations to purchase fuel, food, and drinks.
Additionally, the nominating school of the winner will also receive a $5,000 cash grant, to be used to purchase educational resources and technology.
The program is now led by the Ampol Foundation, which was established in 2019 to deliver Ampol’s corporate social responsibility activities. The foundation primarily focuses on two objectives, youth education and safety, and is committed to improving access to education, particularly for disadvantaged youth.
The company has since added two new organisations to its list of partnerships, and now supports The Smith Family and Surf Life Saving Australia alongside the Clontarf Foundation, Stars Foundation, and Westpace Rescue Helicopter.
Ampol Executive General Manager Meaghan Davis noted the company’s long-term commitment to the program.
“For almost 40 years, the Ampol Best All Rounder award has celebrated Australia’s leaders of tomorrow by recognising final year students who have made outstanding contributions to both their school and local community,” she said.
“At Ampol, we believe that recognising the all-round contribution of final year students is an important part of developing well-rounded graduates and continue flourishing in whatever they want to pursue.”
Registrations for the Ampol Best All Rounder award program are now open, with state and national nominations to open later in the year. Registrations close Tuesday, September 24.
