Kilmore Bowls Club officially kicked off its new season with its annual Open Day on Sunday, August 16, attracting more than 50 members for a fantastic day at the club.
Current and life members enjoyed a delicious two-course lunch, prepared by the club’s members, before president David Langeweg welcomed everyone to the new season.
The green was then officially opened by life members Warren Coyle, Sheila Margeson and Phil Skehan, before members took to the greens for a friendly social match, with plenty of fun had by all.
Daniel Noonan also spoke about the upcoming season, saying the club had recruited well during the off-season and expected all of its teams to be right in the mix.
The official season will commence in the first week of October, with practice matches beginning in September.
Anyone interested in trying bowls or taking up the sport is encouraged to get involved, with first-year membership free for all new bowlers.
