Popular Stories

Road Safe Goulburn Valley with Beer Auto Group Seymour are hosting a free workshop on Monday, December 12, aiming to provide young and new drivers the opportunity to learn a variety of necessary road safety skills.

The workshop aims to equip attendees with expertise in car and safety matters, including the ability to change a tyre with a jack, correct positioning of mirrors, check oil levels, water levels and windscreen wipers, as well as understand the importance of car insurance.

Road Safe GV chair Des Callaghan said the workshop was intended for young and new drivers aged between 16 and 25, however all ages were welcome.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our local drivers and those who are new to driving to come down and learn about everything from changing a tyre to checking your oil and water,” he said.

“These small things we should be checking and maintaining all the time can at times be skills some drivers either don’t have or don’t have the confidence in.”

Mr Callaghan said there was no need to register for the workshop, and parents were also welcome to attend with their young driver.

The workshop will start at 10am on Monday at Beer Auto Group Seymour, 49-51 Emily Street, Seymour.
