Early voting centres in the region will be open until Friday, ahead of Saturday’s Victorian state election.

Voters in the Euroa, Kalkallo and Yan Yean District can go to the following locations to submit their ballot paper: 27 Anzac Avenue (enter via Madeline Street) Seymour; Hidden Valley Golf and Country Club; Craigieburn Sports Stadium; and 76 Laurel Street, Whittlesea
Electoral commissioner Warwick Gately said he was expecting more than half of Victorians to vote before election day.

“A list of candidates for each electorate is available on the VEC website and I encourage voters to look up their local candidates ahead of time,” he said.

How-to-vote cards can be found on the VEC website.

Mr Gately said the how-to-vote cards were a suggestion only to determine which candidates received which preference number.

“Almost half of informal votes cast are unintentionally informal,” he said.

“This can be due to voters repeating or missing numbers or using ticks and crosses rather than numbers.”

The VEC website also features short videos on how to complete ballot papers correctly in 23 different languages.

On Saturday, voting centres are open from 8am to 6pm at the following locations:
