PLANNING for the site of the future Kalkallo SES Unit is well underway, with Minister for Emergency Services Vicki Ward and Member for Kalkallo Ros Spence recently visiting.
Designs are complete and construction will begin later this year.
The new unit will include five drive-through motor bays, dedicated turnout areas, training spaces and more secure on-site storage for vehicles and equipment.

The facility has been designed to meet the future unit’s operational needs, now and in the future.
Ms Spence said it would be a huge addition for Kalkallo.
“Our community is growing rapidly and this new VICSES unit will make sure our volunteers have the facilities they need to keep pace with that growth,” she said.
