The City of Whittlesea has partnered with the Whittlesea Showgrounds and Recreation Reserve Committee of Management to plan for the future development of Whittlesea Park.
The masterplan for the township’s largest public open space will guide short and long-term improvements to the area and reflect how the community wishes to use the park in the future.
Council is assessing the site in conjunction with the Committee of Management and community groups and considering opportunities for items such as a large-scale playground, connected walking and cycling paths, barbecue and picnic facilities.
The masterplan for the park will also include AF Walker Reserve, Whittlesea Lions Park and River Street Reserve.
Whittlesea residents will have the opportunity to have their say and provide feedback on the draft plan from mid-2022.
