The premiere screening of the documentary film Lancefield Dreaming attracted sell-out crowds last month.
Lancefield Dreaming embraces the significance of the town’s history through the eyes of long-standing residents and celebrates what the future offers to newcomers.
After much effort and expense Lancefield identities Paul Carter, Mike Jones and Harry Jon Nanos produced the film.
The film premiered to a full house at Lancefield Mechanics Institute on Aguust 23 and was replayed again on August 24.
The audience response to both screenings was positive and attendees reported an enjoyable evening, with lively discussion about the “starring” characters following after the film.
Paul Carter commented that he had a terrific time working with Mike Jones and Harry Jon Nanos producing the film, declaring that ‘we have produced a film of culture for other generations’.
Lancefield Community Bank assisted the producers with funding the production.
For people who missed the screening or want to enjoy a replay, DVD copies are available from the bank in Lancefield for $20.
