A plaque was placed at the Mernda train station last week for 22-year-old Aidan Becker.
He died trying to help a 14-year-old from an alleged robbery and machete attack on March 6, 2026.
The unveiling of the plaque was accompanied by a small group of people at Mernda Station, where they remembered him for his bravery.
Members of Becker’s family were surrounded by friends and personnel from the CFA and SES.
The alleged 18-year-old killer is awaiting a court date on August 19 while the other individuals who were also charged with his murder await a later court date.
