WHILE Whittlesea put their legs up and rested for the Northern Football Netball League women’s competition, Laurimar got to work to score its third win for the season, reversing an earlier loss to Darebin.

The Power dominated proceedings throughout the afternoon, but took a quarter to eventually show it on the scoreboard.

One goal to nil for the first term saw the Power lead 9-0 at the first change, but the lead was extended greatly thanks to three goals in the second term, allowing Laurimar to lead 28-0 at the main break.

The Power were doing the job well, and added another goal in the third quarter to extend their lead to 33 points at the final change, 34-1.

Two more goals meant it was party time as the Power kept its slim final chances alive, winning 7.4 (46) to 0.1 (1).

Sarah Campbell was best-on-ground for the Power, while Leah Bickerton, Gabrielle Donald, Ella Hoffman, Tara and Breanna Dyer were also named in the best.

Laurimar will host a Friday night match this week against St Mary’s, while Whittlesea will travel to Macleod in a big game between first and second.
