THE Whittlesea Community House will host its High Tea fundraiser on October 6 at the Whittlesea Bowls Club, with Moira Kelly from the Creating Hope Foundation the special guest speaker.
The fundraiser will be put towards the food relief 132 program, which has provided plenty of success, but has also increased over the last 12 months due to the cost of living crisis. More than 40 families currently collect food packages, as well as a women’s lunch every second Thursday, which caters for over 60 women who sought company and a chat. The Big Blokes Brunch program is also set to benefit, with 60 men attending every Tuesday.
Artwork from Lisa Diwell will also be on display through the ‘Art with Heart’ program.
Tickets sold out months ago, but the opportunity will be there for those on the day to buy a raffle ticket, bid on the silent auction and help the Whittlesea Community House.
Benefits will go towards programs such as the Big Blokes Brunch, Choir, Water Aerobics, craft afternoons, Boomerang Bags, First Aid, digital literacy, paint and sip classes and Fix It Friday.
