WALLAN were successful in the A-grade netball preliminary final, booking themselves a spot on the final day against ladder-leaders Woodend.
The took on Riddell, who weren’t quite the match up for the Magpies, trailing from the get-go.
Although it was only two goals the margin at half time, Wallan dominated the third quarter which was good enough to win it the game, despite a slight Riddell comeback in the last quarter.
In the B-grade, Romsey took down Wallan by nine goals to book in a grand final for the club.
They’ll be the only team representing the Redbacks on grand final day and will take on Lancefield in the close town rivalry.
The under-19.5s preliminary match up was also won by Wallan, who will now book in its date with Riddell.
Both Wallan and Riddell have been the best two teams across the season, so it should be an entertaining grand final.
The C-grade grand final will feature Riddell and Gisborne Giants, who competed against each other just 10 days ago, which went to overtime and was narrowly won by Gisborne.
Finally, in the D-grade grand final, Lancefield will take on Diggers Rest in their quest to win the Tigers a premiership for season 2026.
