THE Victorian Racing Pigeon Union continued this week, with eight members travelling to Mildura across the weekend. Forty-five flyers and 780 birds took part, with an average distance of 460 kilometres.
Michael Scandolera performed best from the Wallan Kilmore Homing Club, finishing 15th, with Cavanagh and Anderson finishing 16th and Les Morris 19th, which was a good showing for the club.
In Inglewood, the Wallan Kilmore Homing Club flew with eight flyers and 290 birds, and it was a close finish.

Jerzy Gregorzek finished first, with a velocity of 1102.871 metres per minute, with Morris second on 1095.998, and Thomas Punzalan finished third on 1091.406.
