WALLAN have put together some good A grade netball form at the right time of the year and have charged into Sunday’s first semi-final against Riddell following a 10-goal victory over Gisborne Giants.
Despite finishing sixth, the Magpies had led the way throughout the season series against the Giants, taking two victories, including a three-goal win to stamp their ticket to the finals at Greenhill Reserve last week.
However, the Magpies needed to call on all its reserves to get through at Riddells Creek Recreation Reserve on Sunday, with the Giants up for the challenge early.
Regardless, the Magpies eased into the game, and a strong second and third quarter meant that Wallan sat eight goals in front at three-quarter-time, before taking a 10-goal victory, 47-37.

Lancefield’s fairytale A grade netball season has come to an end at the first hurdle, with the Tigers bowing out to Macedon 56-40 at Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve.
