PUBLIC assistance is being sought by the Wallan Highway Patrol following a hit-run collision in Beveridge last Monday.

It’s understood a white truck was travelling on the wrong side of the road on Minton Street before colliding with a white Nissan Navara last Monday at about 2.55pm.

Police were notified the male truck driver stopped at the scene, speaking to the occupants of the Navara, before fleeing.

A 17-year-old Wallan girl, who was a rear passenger, was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old Aberfeldie man, who was the driver, and the front passenger, a 51-year-old Wallan woman, were also both taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are urging anyone in the area at the time of the impact to check their dashcams, with the truck driver still outstanding.

He is described as being short, in his late 40s with a shaved head and stubble on his face.

The man was wearing a black top and grey and black pants at the time of the collision.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of a white truck, which has yellow on the top of the cabin.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or recognises the truck is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at crimestoppersvic.com.au.
