A series of upcoming film events will be showing in Kilmore for the community to discover the history behind the Hume and Hovell expedition.
The films will be shown at the John Taylor Room at the Kilmore Library across two dates, with three short films per session.
The films are In the steps of the explorers, The Hume Highway, and ABC explores the Overland to Port Phillip.
On Sunday, December 15, screenings will be held at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. On Wednesday, December 18, screenings will be held at 4pm and 7pm.
The Kilmore and District Residents and Ratepayers Association (KADRRA), along with the Hume and Hovell Commemoration Group have sought sponsorship from Kilmore Toyota and Barry Plant to present the films, and invite all to attend the free event.
