Introducing South West Goulburn (SWG) Landcare’s new Network Facilitator, Vanessa Malandrin.
Ms Malandrin’s predecessor is Sonia Sharkey, who is now working with Mitchell Shire Council as a Land Management Officer.
Ms Malandrin brings a wealth of experience to the role with a Master’s in Agricultural Science from Pisa University in Italy and a Postgraduate in Agroecology from Baeza in Spain.
Since moving from Italy to Australia nine years ago, Ms Malandrin has enjoyed connecting with like-minded nature gurus, including the Hughes Creek Catchment Collaborative and the BEAM Mitchell Environment Group.
Ms Malandrin welcomed anyone interested in their rural and urban environments to make contact.
“I see my role as to help the SWG Landcare community achieve their goals in land and natural resource management, but also to encourage a more diverse audience, including young people, to discover the joys of being more connected to nature,” she said.
