Residents can now download My Mitchell, a Mitchell Shire Council app designed to keep residents informed and connected with council services, news, and events.

With a classic shire blue and white colour palette, the app allows locals to set up reminders for bin nights, report issues, and locate services and amenities nearby.

Representing a step towards the future, Mitchell Shire Council Chief Executive Brett Luxford said the app would allow residents to gain access to information instantly.

“The new My Mitchell app gives residents access to council information at their fingertips,” he said.

“One feature I really like is the bin collection schedule. Residents can turn on push notifications to receive reminders when they need to put their bins out, rather than having to scan the road or street to figure out which bin to place out each week.

“Another key feature is the ‘Report It’ tool. You can report issues to council, such as concerns with roads, illegal dumping of waste, or parking issues when you are out and about and even take photos to upload on the app making it much more convenient.”

The app is free for download, and available for both IOS and Android users via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
