Mitchell Youth Services has teamed up with various organisations throughout the Shire to offer a range of events, training sessions, workshops, and celebrations throughout September for this year’s Youth Fest.
Youth Fest is a statewide celebration in Victoria that focuses on local opportunities for youth to develop their skills, explore new interests, and most importantly, have fun.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Louise Bannister said Council was ‘thrilled’ to be part of Youth Fest 2024.
“Investing in our youth and offering them opportunities for education and recreation is a priority for Council,” she said.
“We’re grateful to collaborate with so many supportive partner organisations that make Youth Fest possible. I’m excited to see our young people enjoying themselves and discovering new skills.”
Free events that will be supervised, safe, inclusive, and free include:
September 17 – Seymour Youth Room Launch: Celebrate the launch of the new Seymour Youth Room location, which will include tunes, snacks, Wi-Fi, and the Nintendo Switch.
September 22 – Youth Fest Bike Bonanza: Head over to Broadford BMX Track for Wheel House Bike’s Bike Bonanza to find bicycle related games, competitions, giveaways, and a free sausage sizzle lunch.
