Prep students across the region marked their 100 days of prep this month with activities and dress up at schools.
St Mary’s Primary School in Lancefield celebrated 100 days with their two prep classes.
The students came dressed in a t-shirt acknowledging the 100th day, and took part in activities that honoured the milestone, including creating their crowns, decorating biscuits in the shape of 100, and other activities surrounding the huge number.
Prep teacher Chris Zarb said she had noticed a huge difference from when the students first started.
“It’s just a real celebration, they’ve really matured a lot, and they’ve learned so much in those 100 days – it’s amazing the progress … that’s why we have the celebration,” she said.
“Their attention, how much they focus, and you can see how their confidence has grown so much in themselves, and they’re so happy to be at school.
“The parents did a wonderful job with the t-shirts that they wore, we’re so lucky to have this group of children, they’re all amazing.”
Not too far from St Mary’s, Lancefield Primary School came prepared for their 100 days.
The students went to school as 100-year-olds, with their most fashionable old clothes and wigs.
It was a great day for the prep students, and their teachers who took part in the activities.
Prep and Grade 1 students at Willowmavin Primary School also celebrated 100 days. The students had a great time celebrating the occasion, and all their learning on the day was related to the big number.
