Broadford Cricket Club is calling on women to put forward their interest in playing for their very first women’s cricket team.

With an aim for the team to partake in the 2024/25 cricket season, the women’s side will compete against Wallan and Kilmore’s own female cricket teams.

Club President Michael Mirabella extended an invitation to all interested players, no matter their age or experience.

“We’re looking for people who have played before, who haven’t played before, of all ages,” he said.

A slightly shorter season than the men’s team, the women’s side will run for 10-12 weeks with approximately six games to be played, finishing just before Christmas. The games will be played on Sunday.
