The State Government is taking arts on tour, making sure world class performances such as exhibitions and creative events have the opportunity to travel across Victoria.
The state project will provide access for Victorians who want to experience diverse arts and cultural exhibits.
The program provides grants of between $10,000 and $150,000 for any artist or creative organisation interested in taking their art around regional and outer-metropolitan Victoria.
The scheme will also back Victorian artists and creative organisations to improve their public profiles and audience base, while also boosting the economy of the places they tour.
Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks said she wanted to ensure the arts industry remained barrier-free.
“Wherever you live in Victoria, we’re working to ensure you have access to the best our creative state has to offer, while backing local artists, companies, and venues to grow their audiences,” he said.
Applications are now open and will close August 1. To apply and view eligibility requirements, please visit www.creative.vic.gov.au.
