The Combined Probus Club of Whittlesea are opening their doors to welcome interested members to the club.

A few kilometres to the northern township of Wandong, after crossing the railway to Whittlesea, awaits the friendly group of folks that welcomes people to the club.

Comprising of retired and semi-retired members generally beyond middle age, the club provides a space for social connections, outings, special interest mini-meetings, long and short tours, and a monthly dine out.

Publicity Officer Michael Halley stated that during the last year, several new members had been inducted into the club and contributed greatly to club activities.

“The main thrust is for members to congregate and enjoy friendships,” he said.

He jokingly likens the social connection to the business industry practice of ‘networking’, highlighting the group’s light-hearted nature.
