Last Friday, Alpha Power Kilmore held a demonstration day at the Kilmore Trackside that showcased the benefits of battery powered equipment.
The event offered local businesses, groups, and the community the chance to view a range of battery powered equipment up close and in action – an interactive and invaluable solution to the age-old ‘try-before-you-buy’ expression.
The event began with a presentation from Alpha Sales Manager Steve Pearson who introduced an array of equipment, including ride-on mowers and utility task vehicles (UTV), along with a range of handheld power tools.
Alpha’s showstopper of the day was the Greenworks all-terrain utility vehicle that featured an all-electric drive equivalent to a 31-horsepower petrol engine – but without the maintenance and running costs of petrol.
Mr Pearson said that the Greenworks range had been at the forefront of innovation in landscaping and outdoor commercial use for many years.
“Savings are considerable over the life of the equipment. There are no fuel or maintenance costs normally associated with petrol powered equipment,” he said.
“Add to the ecological and environmental benefits of battery powered equipment, and the choice is easy.”
The demonstration also allowed those attending to connect with Alpha, with their friendly team on-hand to answer any questions and provide insightful advice.
Mitchell Shire Council, Kilmore Golf Club, Assumption College Kilmore, and Lancemore Hill were among the organisations attending throughout the day.
Morning tea was provided and catered by the Kilmore Trackside, featuring a mouth-watering range that satisfied attendees’ hunger for knowledge of battery power and of course, of food.
Alpha Power Kilmore is open Monday to Saturday, 8.30am-5.00pm, and is located at 95 Kilmore-Lancefield Rd, Kilmore.
