Using the sprint lane, Sky City raced clear as the post approached to record a 2.7 metre margin over My Way, with Island Melia third 4.1 metres back after trailing the winner most of the way. The mile rate 2-00.5.

At Maryborough’s Thursday fixture, Majestic Son-Aleppo Midas gelding Hay Jet made it two from two when winning the VHRC/Black Horse Naturals 3Y0 Trotters Mobile over 1690 metres with Taylor Youl in the sulky. Not bustled from gate five, Hay Jet settled mid-field in the moving line after Can Adel Succeed ran along in front. Going forward three wide in the back straight, Hay Jet ran home best to gain the day by 2.4 metres from a game Hoppy which was set alight racing for the bell. Ewing which had been shuffled back after being handy ran on late for third 6.5 metres away. The mile rate 1-58.3.

Handy 4Y0 Betterthancheddar-Sentimental Charm mare Delightful Charm was a tough victor of the Heath Drum Mares Pace over 2190 metres at Shepparton on Friday. Driven by Chris, Delightful Charm raced exposed from gate four outside polemarker Madam Reactor for the majority of the trip and gave plenty when asked for a supreme effort halfway up the running to prevail by 2.7 metres in 1-58.6 from Ozzie Joy which had followed her all of the way. Menangle visitor Vinette ran on late out wide from mid-field for third 1.4 metres back.

Anticipation is high for the return of Kilmore racing on Thursday, June 13. Dining bookings need to be made prior to the night.
