Kilmore Golf Club is offering a 33 per cent discount on both full and junior one-year memberships as it aims to attract new members.
The offer, which is open to anyone who has never previously been a Kilmore Golf Club member, is now open and will close on September 30.
Everyone who takes advantage of the offer will receive course access every day of the week, two complimentary golf lessons with club professional Nathan Roberts and six guest vouchers to share a round of golf with friends.
Kilmore Golf Club president Bea Lay aid the club was hoping to attract golfers who were new to the Kilmore area, including experienced golfers who have previously been members of other clubs, social golfers who have only played occasionally at Kilmore or other courses, or those totally new to the sport.
She said access to lessons and organised short course events under the offer would help people improve their skills.
“This is a terrific opportunity,” she said.
“Not only will new members receive a fantastic discount on their first 12 months of membership, but they will enjoy full playing rights, any day of the week, ensuring these new members can participate in club competitions and eventually obtain a handicap.”
Ms Lay said the membership offer would be especially useful for junior golfers.
“We already provide coaching sessions for juniors on Saturday afternoons,” she said.
“These juniors will now be able to take advantage of joining the Kilmore Golf Club at the reduced price of $40 with this membership offer.”
The 12-month memberships are valid from the date of payment.
Under the offer, membership prices are $400 for a full adult membership, $220 for an under-25 membership and $40 for junior members under the age of 18.
