Broadford Football Netball Club will host a special general meeting on Wednesday, June 29 at it clubrooms to discuss the future direction of the club.
President Bonnie Cavanagh said she wanted to give all members and supporters a mid-season update and, importantly, call for more volunteers.
“It’s still the same people who are doing the bulk of the work and we really want to engage the community to see if we can broaden our volunteer pool,” she said.
“In the past few years we’ve had to deal with some very complex scenarios with COVID. The work that was put onto volunteers was enormous and very time-consuming and draining.
“We need some extra pairs of hands now to lift us up to the next level.”
Cavanagh said the club was performing strongly and she wanted to continue its positive momentum.
“We’re in an excellent position financially, the netball is doing excellent and the football is on the up,” she said.
“Essentially that could change at any minute though unless we have a bit more buy-in from members of the community.
“If anyone has the slightest bit of interest or has been passionate about the club at any point, please come and show your support.”
