Mick Harrington, star of reality television progam The Voice and Senate candidate, will join fellow Nationals candidate Sam Birrell to perform in Seymour on Wednesday.
The pair are playing pop-up gigs across the electorate of Nicholls, the seat Mr Birrell is hoping to win, following in the footsteps of retiring Nationals MP Damian Drum.
The Seymour performance will be at The Prince of Wales Hotel, starting at 6.30pm.
Mr Harrington is an endorsed candidate in spot number five on The Nationals’ senate ticket.
Growing up in East Gippsland, Mr Harrington said he understood the importance of healthcare and cost of living pressures on regional Victorians.
“I used my voice to make a difference on The Voice and now I want to use it to make a difference in regional Victoria,” he said.
“I want to protect the jobs we’ve got today and fight for the jobs of tomorrow.”
Mr Harrington has worked in a variety of roles in the agricultural, retail, journalism and timber industries.
