More than 1000 people turned out at the base of Hanging Rock, near Woodend, for the 2022 Macedon Ranges Music Festival last month.

The festival, this year celebrating its 10 year anniversary and now at a new site, included performances from acts such as Sage Roadknight, Hannah Cooper, and Ash Grunwald, as well as Macedon Ranges musician Taylor Sheridan and his seven piece band.

This year’s festival again raised money for the Cambodian Kids Foundation, CKF, a charity set up to provide free education, healthcare and employment opportunities to a rural community in Cambodia.

Organisers said more than $25,000 was raised with all ticket sales donated to the charity in a record-high fundraising effort.

The festival took advantage of nice weather to provide a good experience at the main stage, while acoustic performances were held inside the one-off ‘Bus Stop Stage’ made from a renovated bus.

Festival organisers thanked sponsors Gisborne and District Community Bendigo Bank, Macedon Ranges Shire Council, Proglazed, Music Victoria and Greater Western Water.
