THE Lancefield Whole Town Garage Sale hits town this week, guaranteeing to turn one person’s trash into another person’s treasure.
The successful town event will bring together the community, with all money raised to be donated to Lancefield Neighbourhood House.
“It is a fundraiser for the neighbourhood house and hosted by the Lancefield Men’s Shed and they’re doing all the work, event organiser Rhonda Cusack said.
“We’ve held town garage sales before but obviously not over the last couple of years. I think it’ll be about the fourth or fifth year, and the plan is that they remain annual.
“Most of the towns in the Macedon Ranges Shire do them at some stage, and it’s become a one of the popular calendar events for all the towns.”
Garage and car boot sales will run on Saturday, from 8am to 12pm.
Registration for the event costs $5 per garage or car boot sale.
Lancefield residents wishing to register can visit Trybooking or in person at Lancefield Town House.
Maps of the garage sales will be available on the day at the Men’s Shed, 76 High Street, Lancefield. Maps are also $5.
A sausage sizzle will also run at the Men’s Shed.
