Police caught a Lancefield motorcyclist travelling at more than double the speed limit at Bolinda on Sunday.
State Highway Patrol solo unit officers nabbed a Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling at 150 kilometres an hour in a 60km zone on Lancefield-Melbourne Road just after 4.30pm.
Police motorcycle members intercepted the vehicle and spoke to the rider, a 43-year-old Lancefield man, and his pillion passenger a 26-year-old woman.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with exceeding the speed limit and other traffic offences.
His motorcycle has been impounded for 30 days with towing costs of $800.
The intercept was part of Operation Archer, aiming to reduce road trauma and lives lost on Victoria roads.
