Popular Stories

The Department of Health has confirmed the public sites in Victoria exposed to COVID-19 after a Wollert resident tested positive yesterday.

Victoria has recorded no new cases of community transmission in the past 24 hours. There were more than 21,000 tests received in that time.

The man in his 30s recently returned to Australia from overseas and completed hotel quarantine in South Australia.

He arrived in Victoria and returned to his home in Wollert on May 4, and developed symptoms on May 8.

He was tested on May 10, and returned a positive result yesterday, May 11.

Following interviews and contact tracing, a list of tier 1, 2 and 3 exposure sites have be released.

These premises have had confirmed cases visit during their infectious period. This does not mean that there is an ongoing risk associated with the premises. You can safely visit the site in line with current restrictions.

Anyone who has visited a Tier 1 exposure site during the times listed must immediately isolate, get a COVID-19 test, and quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure. If you are not eligible for sick leave, payments options are available with more information here.

Tier 2 means you must tested urgently and isolate until you receive a negative result. Tier 3 means monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if feeling unwell and isolate until a negative result is returned.

Some testing sites in the area have extended their opening hours due to increased demand including:

  • Northern Health – Northern Hospital – Walk Through, Epping
