Planning work is underway to provide a $1.1 million upgrade to Tooborac Primary School. The project aims to modernise the school.
Architects will work with school leaders to ensure the upgrade helps achieve their educational goals, and improvements are targeted where needed most.
Tooborac Primary School principal James Tenison-Woods said the upgrades to the school were exciting for the staff and students.
“At this stage, we’ve set up a pretty tight timeline … the due date of completion is August 22. The architects have produced a design document that will modernise and upgrade the current facilities,” he said.
“For the staff and students, it’s super exciting to be able to learn in a modern multi-purpose building.”
Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that 1:1 Architects had been appointed to design the school’s $1,117,000 upgrade.
“We’re making sure that our schools have great facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and that every child is given every chance to succeed,” she said.
“Tooborac families are a step closer to getting the great local school facilities their kids need to thrive.”
