THE 10th Oaks Day Luncheon event to raise funds for the Northern Hospital, Epping, will feature a day of music, dancing, food and wine for friends to enjoy.
Organiser Bev Carman said the event was important to her because it meant she could support the services of the hospital.
“The money we’ve raised in the past has gone towards purchasing chemotherapy chairs, two wig libraries, storage cabinets and freezer caps which help patients keep their hair,” Ms Carman said.
“The event fundraises between $8,000 and $10,000 each year, and it’s important as we always need to buy or replace equipment.”
For a $70 entry fee, each person will enjoy champagne upon arrival, a three-course luncheon with wine.
There will be a competition for the best dressed person and the best hat.
The event will begin at 12pm on Thursday November 7, and conclude at 4pm, at Kilmore Trackside.
Tables of 10 are available for booking – payments must be finalised by October 31.
