COPPER thieves have once again targeted the Tramway Heritage Centre at Bylands, forcing open an electrical substation and allegedly stealing copper electrical cabling last week.
There was an attempt to also remove an old transformer which had been decommissioned since 1984.
The site has been targeted five times within the last five years, all within August or September, and there are beliefs that the person/persons are local and could be potentially taking it to a local metal recycler not far from the museum.
If you know anything about the thieves, or suspect suspicious activity, it is urged that you contact the local police.
