AUDIENCES are invited to experience the magic of the screen through live classical music when Crescendo: Screen Classics comes to the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC) this August.
Taking place on Saturday August 22 at 7pm, this one-night-only concert in the Yan Yean Theatre at PRACC will showcase some of the City of Whittlesea’s most talented local classical musicians, performing a curated program of works made famous through film and television.
The program will feature a dynamic mix of soloists, duos and chamber ensembles, highlighting a diverse range of instruments and performance styles. Each piece is performed in its full beauty, allowing audiences to experience the emotion and storytelling of the music up close.
Audiences can expect a program spanning Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonatato Piazzolla’s fiery Libertango, alongside Satie’s hauntingly familiar Gymnopédie No. 1 – a piece long beloved by film and television composers.
Crescendo: Screen Classics puts the calibre of the City of Whittlesea’s local talent front and centre, bringing together accomplished musicians whose skill and artistry promise an evening of exceptional live performance.
Tickets are affordably priced at $15 for adults and $10 concession, making this a welcoming and enriching cultural experience for all.
