Chase is a very special pet of the week.
Thank you Carmel Borg from Wallan for sharing his beautiful photo with us.
“To know him was to love him,” said Mrs Borg.
Chase recently was put to sleep after his health deteriorated. He was diagnosed with syringomyelia at age three. Syringomyelia, a common illness among Cavlier Spaniels, is an extremely serious condition in which fluid-filled cavities develop within the spinal cord. Chase lived with this illness across six years.
“Then we discovered he had a grade four heart murmur,” Mrs Borg said.
“But I always took him out and about in a pram.
He was brave beyond words … right to the very end.”
