THERE was a small scare for South Morang residents last Monday night, with a fire in the Bunjil Nganga Parkland area near the Palisades.
The walking path overlooking the Quarry Hills precinct was temporarily closed as a result, but the playground at the bottom of the Granite Hills precinct remains open.
A grassfire at Summerhill Road at Wollert continued to burn as recently as Friday, with residents urged to stay informed.
The threat has since been contained and put out, with the fire starting on January 27 from a wastepile, and removed from the VicEmergency app.
