Winter season wins with the Broadford District Junior Tennis Association

THE Broadford District Junior Tennis Association held its winter grand finals on Saturday afternoon, with the region’s best tennis players taking to the court.

Four grand finals were held, with Wallan taking on Broadford Blue in Section 1, Hidden Valley Yellow v Hidden Valley Orange in Section 2, Hidden Valley Blue against Wallan Alcaraz in Section 3 and Wallan Barty v Wallan Kasatkina in Section 4.

GREAT SUCCESS: Wallan Barty took the Section 4 title from Wallan Kasatkina, 26 games to 16.

Individual honours were also handed out, with Kavish Singla the MVP of Section 1, Blake Wilson winning Section 2, Blake Hamilton taking Section 3 and Lilly Cody winning in Section 4.

President of the competition, Lisa Kelly said all the young players are deserving of their trophies and she herself is looking forward to playing in a grand final on the weekend at the Seymour Tennis Complex when Wandong v Seymour at 4pm.
