THE Epping Medicare Urgent Care Clinic recently marked one year of operations, which has helped take pressure off the Northern Hospital and provided the local community with more support.
Member for Scullin Andrew Giles was on hand to mark the anniversary, which has resulted in over 14,000 presentations since its opening one year ago.
It has been a crucial service for parents, with children representing 34 per cent of presentations at the clinic.
Mr Giles said it was a big difference to the Epping and wider community in providing the service.
“The Epping Medicare Urgent Care Clinic has made a massive difference for locals right across the community,” he said.
“Over 14,000 presentations demonstrates how important the Clinic is in the community – and how it’s also helping to take pressure off the Northern Hospital emergency department.
