THERE has been movement on the Davis Road waste pile fire in Broadford, with CFA District 12 electing to bring water collar tanks to the area to quell the fire.
Crews arrived on Thursday to gain access to the area, laying hose and installing the water collar tanks, before pulling apart the waste pile on Friday.
Heavy vehicle traffic was set to increase, with water carting trucks filling up in town and driving back and forth.
Residents were urged to keep up with the EPA website for updates regarding air quality, with smoke levels expected to rise in the wake of the waste pile being pulled apart.
