HOMEOWNERS can look forward to a new round of cost-of-living support, with eligible Victorian households now able to apply for a $100 Power Saving Bonus.

The program will provide direct relief to concession card holders, helping families and individuals better manage rising energy costs.

To apply, households need a recent electricity bill and an eligible concession card, including health care, pensioner, veterans’ affairs pensioner or veterans’ gold cards. Applications can be made online through the Victorian Energy Compare website, while more than 230 Neighbourhood Houses are offering in-person support for those without internet access.

The bonus comes in addition to the $150 Energy Bill Relief Fund provided by the Commonwealth Government, and households are encouraged to use Energy Compare to find the best deal, with average savings of $240 annually.

Since 2018, more than 4.5 million Power Saving Bonus payments have been made, delivering over $1 billion in relief statewide.
