AFTER initial community consultation in June and July last year, the Mitchell Shire Council (MSC) are looking for community input to help further shape the Seymour Community Wellbeing Hub.
The results of the community consultation was a strong push for study areas in the library space, a flexible space for the community meeting and function rooms, and the opportunity for outdoor concerts and festivals in the outdoor space, among other ideas.
MSC have taken these ideas to the consultant team for incorporation, and the current floor plans will be shown to the community ahead of construction starting for an early 2027 completion of Stage 1.
Consultation will be available over the next week, until August 20.
In the meantime, there are five ways for Seymour residents to provide feedback.
One will be at tomorrow night’s MSC Listening Tour, which will be held at the Ken Hall Pavilion at Kings Park, where the floor plans will be shown, as well as a short presentation.
Other opportunities will be to complete an online survey on the Engaging Mitchell Shire website, emailing community.infrastructure@mitchellshire.vic.gov.au, completing a hard copy of the survey at the Seymour Customer and Library Service Centre, and also writing to MSC.
