KIDS Academy Waratah Estate in Mickleham has been identified as one of the childcare services where Joshua Brown, an alleged child sexual offender, worked.

Victoria Police is currently investigating several alleged child sexual assaults linked to Brown that took place at Creative Gardens Early Learning Centre in Point Cook.

While investigating, police have been releasing a list of childcare centres it is believed Brown had worked at between January 2017 and May 2025, with the Mickleham centre one of the latest to be named.

It is understood that Brown worked at the centre on August 29, 2024.

The Victorian Department of Health has contacted affected families to inform them of the allegations and the potential risk of exposure to infectious diseases, as well as whether the child needs to undergo further testing.

If your child attended Kids Academy Waratah Estate in Mickleham and you have not been contacted via text, email or letter, the Department of Health and Victoria Police say it is likely your family has not been identified as one requiring further public health information about the matter.

However, understanding the distressing nature of the issue, a dedicated hotline has been established for families who need further advice, especially for those who believe their child was at the Mickleham or other centres, concerning Brown.

You can call the dedicated advice line at 1800 791 241, which remains open seven days a week from 8am-9pm weekdays and 8am-5pm on weekends.

Police ask that the advice line be reserved for affected families to receive the information and support they need as soon as possible.
