NEED to find a playground, park, or a place to walk the dog? Or maybe you’re wondering where your nearest library or neighbourhood house is? Mitchell Shire Council’s new ‘Near Me’ interactive map is here to help.

Designed to make life easier for residents, the Near Me map is a one-stop digital tool that shows a wide range of local services and facilities available close to home. With just a few clicks, users can locate everything from children and youth services to customer service centres, libraries, community centres, outdoor pools, and even current Council capital works projects.

Mitchell Shire Mayor Cr John Dougall said the tool was part of Council’s ongoing effort to make services more accessible and information easier to find.

“Near Me puts local knowledge at your fingertips. Whether you’re a parent looking for a play space, a resident curious about upcoming road works, or someone seeking community events or support services, it’s all right there,” Cr Dougall said.

The map also helps residents discover lesser-known assets such as walking tracks, bike trails, and resource recovery centres, helping people make the most of their neighbourhood while staying connected and informed.

Available 24/7, the Near Me map is simple to navigate and mobile-friendly, making it a handy companion whether you’re planning an outing or just exploring your local area.
