THE Elms Retirement Village residents recently came together to give a farewell morning tea to two long serving staff members.
Fran Stimson and Janice Edwards retired from The Elms after a 20-year career that spanned from the first foundations to a now completed village. Ms Stimson served in the role of Sales Advisor and Ms Edwards as Village Manager.
Fran Stimson was the first contact point for new residents in presenting each property and then carrying out the new owner’s individual alterations to make it a personalised home.
It was then that new residents were introduced to Ms Edwards who maintained an open door policy. Residents were always welcome to call in for a chat to discuss an issue.
“Both Fran and Janice knew our families, our likes and dislikes because they always took the time to listen,” one resident said.
