A $2250 online purchase by Darryl Karp has proven an astute investment when Isn’t It Ironic won at just her fourth start at Wangaratta on Thursday. Seymour trainers Lee and Shannon Hope continued to add to their season tally with a convincing 3.5 length win at Kilmore on Friday by the three-year-old filly La Meeting. Ridden by Jarrod Fry, the gelding jumped to an early lead and was never headed.
La Meeting is by the Northwood based stallion Royal Meeting. Standing at Lovatsville, Royal Meeting was a Group One winning two-year-old and has sired the Group One winning two-year-old filly Hayasugi.
